Bringing the new year in in style at Optimo tonight. Now I just need to decide what to wear.

Drive-by Snowballing
It's proper snowing! It looks lovely.
What is not lovely is when some dick in a 4x4 thinks it would be funny to throw a snowball at you out the window of his car when you are concentrating all your energy on walking without falling over.
Wanker.

I don't know what to do for Hogmany this year. Thomas and I were thinking about going to this but then Optimo is having their Hogmany party literally across the street. Aaaaargh decisions.

Countdown *imagine countdown clock song here*
So another Captain Kidd's Boneyard gig tonight but that's not all!
1st edition of the zine will be getting handed out. We're calling it a 1st edition but that makes it sound much more important than it is. We just weren't very organised and so have spent the last 24 hours doing pretty much everything for it.
We're only printing 30/35 to hand out tonight and then we'll be printing some more in the next couple of weeks.
So look out for them lying on a pub table near you soon.
Fab!

It had to be written in library books, footnoted
It had to be in the headlines of the Times and Le Monde
It had to be barked on TV

Yesterday Thomas and I went to Glasgow Green for the Anti BNP/SDL Rally. The weather started off proper crap but just as the group were walking along The Clyde the sun came out from behind the clouds and created the most amazing light.
It was great to see so many people outside, despite the weather, showing their support for something so important.
I have a million more pictures to post but I'm feeling lazy and this is my favourite.
Going to see Captain Kidd's Boneyard at Ivory Blacks tonight. It's going to kick ass.

Last night I went to see Captain Kidd's Boneyard play their first gig at Pivo Pivo. CKB were playing last. The crowd was mainly made up of band members and their girlfriends. By the time CKB came on there were about 10 of us left. SHAME ON THE REST OF YOU.
I'm going to sell these priceless works of art when they get famous.

The Fish Plaice
Thomas and I went on a fish mission yesterday.
We were going to go down to Byres Road to go to the fishmongers there but typically, it was rainy and windy so we couldn't be arsed.
Google led us to a fishmonger round the corner from us called The Fish Plaice. You walk down a cobbled passageway and end up at a wee shop with fish heads and all sorts outside. Inside there are counters all round the side with lots of different fish to choose from and in the middle there are pigs trotters and half rabbits.
Thomas was feeling rather fragile before we went and even more so afterwards.
The fish was good however being the idiot that I am I didn't get the fillets pinboned and ended up having to spend like 20 minutes hunched over the kitchen counter yanking bones out of the fish myself.
Good times.

The Beginning
So we have started a blog to document the happenings of the zine that we are in the process of making.
It might be a one off. It might not be.
It's all rather exciting and new so stay tuned!
